You see, I'll assume that you actually did read my post -- in which I discussed two other philosopher's proposals, but did not advance any of my own, right? So, you're playing the part of a person lacking -- that is, not displaying -- well developed intellectual or moral capacities.

Being able to follow an extended argument and distinguish the writer from someone the writer criticizes, yes, that would be a good test of intellect. And, capacities not to make facile, tendentious moral comparisons or wild accusations -- two common problems in our body politic -- that might fit the bill as some sort of test for virtue.

But jokes aside, I stand by my position in the post, namely that neither Brennan's nor Mill's proposals are workableGregory B. Who decides which people are intellectually superior, and, which people are intellectually inferior? Your proposal has many flaws.

Democracy may not be perfect...however, it is moral. Would you wish to forfeit your right to vote? I can predict your response. I sense that you have emotional issues, regarding your personal life, which you need to address. This arrogant mindset of yours is anti-social. In a sense, your attitude has similarities with that of the Tucson shooter.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
